Hot off the press, Osprey’s latest addition to our range of high quality action sports gear is the aptly named Osprey ‘Dirt’. It’s like our other scooters only with plenty of brawn to handle all the rough and tumble of all terrain scooter riding.
Perfect for taking on your nearest downhill run or trying out the local dirt track the Osprey ‘Dirt’ Scooter features a robust full aluminium deck with bison sized 200 x 50mm pneumatic rubber tyres that are designed to take the punishment of all terrain riding. In the centre of the tyres are the 3pc aluminium hubs which will take all the abuse of big airs and not to mention the jarring of rocks and gravel on high speed downhill rides.
We have incorporated a CNC threadless headset into the ‘Dirt’ which takes away any compromise in strength from the fork tube making it possible to put in a big performance in the rough stuff, without risking damaging the front forks. Above the rear tyre a stainless steel rear brake has been incorporated making stopping in a hurry easier and safer. The durability of stainless steel is renowned and has been used to make sure it won’t fail on you when you’re pushing yourself (and the ‘Dirt’) to the limit.
Mounted on to the head tube of the ‘Dirt’ the chromoly bars allow for more stability and are harder wearing to cope with the often unpredictable nature of riding in an untamed environment. At the end of each handle we have incorporated super-comfy, max-grip bar grips, complete with grip locks for a secure fit. The soft rubber is the perfect choice for off road riders, as it will help soften the impact of rough terrain on the palms of your hands. Of course dirt scooters aren’t strictly limited to downhill runs and of road dirt riding, they are fit for street and park use as a beefier alternative to stunt scooters, although it’s in the unpredictable terrain of woodland runs that this scooter really excels.
